Detox Pesto
Ingredients
- 12 oz artichoke hearts (canned in water or cooked from frozen)
- 4 cups of loosely packaged organic herbs: basil, cilantro, mint, and/or parsley
- 10-20 cloves of garlic (depending on individual taste)
- 1 cup olive oil
- lemon juice, to taste
- celtic sea salt, to taste
This sauce can be used to roast root vegetables, as a condiment for steamed vegetables, thinned with lemon juice for salad dressing, or as a flavoring for soup.
