Biotherapeutic Drainage

Micro-dosed Energetics for Lifelong Health & Longevity – Understanding this traditional healing method with Dr. Holly Castle, ND

Dr. Holly Castle has been practicing the art and science of Biotherapeutic Drainage for well over 20 years. Now, considered an expert in her field, she also teaches this healing technique to other practitioners and is a certified practitioner in the United States.  All our practitioners at Boulder Natural Health are trained in this method of healing, and you may have experienced it yourself.  We are excited to dive deeper into its understanding with Dr. Castle as the applications for Biotherapeutic Drainage are many.

What is Biotherapeutic Drainage?

Biotherapeutic Drainage was developed in Europe over 100 years ago and is part of the European Biological Medicine paradigm. Over time, it has since integrated principles of Eastern medicine as well. For optimal results, this practice supports traditional macronutrients, diet, and mindful practices.  However, its primary focus is on supporting cellular function and the health of the cell inside and out. You can think of it like gentle detoxification support for the cell.  Thanks to its gentle application, it is safe for sensitive situations where other medications or conditions are present.

Macronutrients

Macronutrient supports include diet and supplemental vitamins, minerals, or proteins.  Your nutritional state depends on individual intake, the ability to break down and use the nutrients from digestion, as well as genetic patterns that affect your own individual needs.  Support with macronutrients is often the initial mechanism used to build up the organs and systems to promote work at the cellular level.

Cellular Function

Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things and everything going on in your body relies on how well your cells function. Over the course of your life your cells are affected by inadequate nutrition, increased exposure to toxins, lack of sleep, and chronic stress.  These events damage cells and dirty up the internal environment.  Cells begin to struggle to heal themselves and no longer function optimally. This can contribute to symptoms such as chronic headache, fatigue, digestive discomforts and overall loss of vitality.

Lifestyle

Lifestyle support is integral to Biotherapeutic Drainage.  It is necessary to zoom back out to understand someone’s story, history and day-to-day life.  Lasting cellular function improves when you can improve the underlying factors contributing, such as establishing better sleep routines, maintaining a healthy diet, and building mindfulness practices to help balance stress.

Who Benefits Most From Biotherapeutic Drainage?

Everyone can use Biotherapeutic Drainage regularly or periodically throughout the year in the same way as an intentional detoxification.

Some people can benefit more, such as people who have:

  • Chronic illness
  • Conditions that cause poor digestion
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Multiple diagnoses that are stacked on top of each other
  • Been managing chronic stress or trauma

Biotherapeutic Drainage is a means to not only improve symptoms, but also reverse damage so the body begins to build resilience and can become more capable of addressing its needs.

Where Do You Start?

The interview process will help prioritize the course of the protocol, but we focus on the following organ systems:  respiratory, digestive, detoxification, circulatory, nervous and hormones.

“What I have observed is that when the nervous system isn’t balanced, nothing else can function well.  The nerves have an impact on nearly every single thing in our bodies.”  ~Dr. Castle

In Biotherapeutic Drainage, we use complex homeopathy to take the healing process to the cellular level. Homeopathy is the belief that the body can heal itself when presented with the appropriate stimulus.  This is highly energetic in nature and not often explained within the current realm of science but has been a practice of healing around the world for centuries.

Common modalities include:

  • Gemmotherapy: extracted buds, bark and roots of plants
  • UNDA: plant and mineral based preparations formulated to target organ systems
  • Single dose homeopathics: highly diluted substance designed to work energetically
  • Tissue salts: Micro doses of the body’s 12 essential minerals
  • Oligo-elements: vitamins, minerals, amino acids and oils

How Do You Know It’s Working?

We can often see improvements to symptoms within a couple of months when the individual begins to notice a better resiliency to life’s stresses.  Here are two case stories from our patients (names have been changed):

Sue complained of chronic headaches.  She participated in a customized Biotherapeutic Drainage protocol and after 3 months she was laughing, smiling and reported she was able to better cope with her headaches while she continues to heal.

Jack was experiencing digestive discomforts and chronic fatigue. He participated in a customized Biotherapeutic Drainage protocol for 8 months and now digestion is improved, his immune system is more resilient, and allergies are improved. He has more energy and feels better rested even under strain from long-distance travel.

The goal of Biotherapeutic Drainage is not to continue to take supplements, it is to repair the system so that it can manage with life.

Is Biotherapeutic Drainage for Healthy Aging?

One of the main foundations in healthy aging is optimizing cellular function. Since cellular turnover slows down as we age, it’s important to focus on enhancing the cells now. Supporting change with Biotherapeutic Drainage can be a gradual process but the program can be accommodated to suit your own needs and pace.
