Expectations for Care:
The philosophy of naturopathic medicine is based on whole person care. Natural therapies are individualized to each patient and the goal is to address the underlying cause of the condition in addition to providing symptom relief. Patient self-care and self-responsibility are critical for health improvement outcomes. Rarely is naturopathic medicine an overnight cure. True healing takes time and a willingness and commitment to a healthy diet and lifestyle changes including stress reduction.
Initial Consultation:
Initial adult and pediatric naturopathic appointments will last 60-90 minutes. Your first visit will include a thorough health and lifestyle history, review of any past lab work, discussion of our approach to your specific health issue or condition, and an individualized naturopathic plan. New blood work or specialty lab work may be ordered at the new patient appointment.
Follow-Up Appointments:
We generally follow up with patients every 4-6 weeks to support your continued health improvement. Follow-up naturopathic appointments are either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. During this time, we will discuss any newly ordered lab results and how your health has changed since your last visit. We will get a thorough update on your symptoms and check in with you regarding your general health status (sleep, energy, appetite, cravings, digestion, hormones, mood) and proceed to the next step of your care.
